Open access policy

Faith • Civilization • Theology (FCT) makes published contributions freely available to readers without subscription charges or paywalls.

Copyright and licensing

Unless otherwise stated on the individual publication page, copyright remains with the author or other identified rights holder.

By agreeing to publication in FCT, the rights holder grants the journal the non-exclusive right to publish, distribute, archive, display and preserve the contribution in its published form.

Published contributions are made available under the licence stated on the individual article page. The migrated inaugural contributions carry a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence, as recorded on their source publication pages.

Where CC BY 4.0 applies, reuse is permitted provided appropriate attribution is given, a link to the licence is supplied, and any changes are indicated.

The licence applying to an article does not automatically extend to separately credited third-party material, including images, figures, tables, extracts, photographs or other content for which different rights or conditions may apply.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that they have permission to include third-party material where permission is required.

Editorial material and book reviews

For editorial material published directly by FCT, the copyright holder or licensor will be identified on the publication page.

For book reviews, the review author and the author of the reviewed book are identified separately. Copyright in the review does not extend to the underlying book, cover artwork, publisher material or other third-party content unless expressly stated.

Author sharing and repository use

Authors may retain and share their published work in accordance with the applicable licence and any third-party rights restrictions.

Authors may deposit or link published versions in institutional or subject repositories where permitted by the applicable licence.

Repository identifiers, preprint identifiers and journal-assigned identifiers must be described accurately and must not be presented as equivalent where they serve different purposes.

Access, versioning and preservation

Each published contribution should have a stable article page and, where provided, a downloadable PDF or other archival version.

Where corrections, amendments, retractions or removals occur, FCT may update the publication record, version information or access status in accordance with the journal’s Publication Ethics and Corrections policies.

Removal of material does not necessarily imply deletion of the publication record; where appropriate, a notice may remain to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record.

Indexing, archiving and external services

FCT does not claim membership, inclusion, indexing, preservation coverage or registration with any external service, database, archive or scholarly infrastructure provider unless that arrangement has been confirmed.

References to services such as ISSN, Crossref, DOAJ, repositories or preservation systems are descriptive only and do not imply endorsement, certification, indexing or membership unless expressly stated.
