FCT expects honest scholarship, accurate attribution, responsible authorship and respect for research participants. Plagiarism, fabricated evidence, manipulated quotations, undisclosed duplicate publication and inappropriate authorship are unacceptable.
Responsible review
Reviewers must declare conflicts, treat manuscripts confidentially, assess fairly and provide constructive reasons for recommendations. Unpublished work may not be used for personal advantage.
Research involving people
Where applicable, submissions must explain ethical approval or exemption, consent, privacy protections and the treatment of sensitive or identifiable information. Authors must not assume that a ministry or case-study context removes these obligations.
Handling concerns
The editorial office assesses reported concerns, seeks relevant evidence and responses, and takes proportionate action to protect the record. The journal draws on publicly available guidance from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). This statement does not claim COPE membership or certification.
